Tony completes 105 mile Walking Challenge for Charity!

On March 4th at 14:00, Tony Perfect completed his 105 mile Walking Challenge at Nailsea & Backwell RFC in memory of our dear friend Cheryl Reed, who tragically lost her life to cancer last year. Tony, a former Nailsea & Backwell RFC player, captain and coach himself, walked 105 miles in just 48 hours. The challenge was straightforward, cover all 39 combination clubs in Bristol, starting at 14:00 on March 2nd before finishing at his former club before their 14:00 fixture on the Saturday.

The event was a massive success, as Tony not only smashed the challenge he laid out, but also fundraised close to £5,000 in the process. Testament to his success, the event gained coverage from multiple websites, radio stations and television programmes, including the BBC.

Sporting Family Change would like to place on record once more our gratitude to Tony Perfect for choosing us as his designated charity. We would also like to thank Ian Reed and Nailsea & Backwell RFC in helping facilitate the challenge, enabling it to be as successful as it was.
