Charity completes New York Half Marathon to celebrate anniversary! On Sunday, March 17th the Charity had 20 runners complete the New York Half Marathon, cheered on by 20 of our own supporters, to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The commemorative event, which everyone at Sporting Family Change had been planning for months, finally came to fruition as we had 20 runners participate in the 13.1 mile race hosted in one of the most iconic cities in the world. The runners, who had been following a training plan set out by the Charity across a ninth month period, all completed the event and thoroughly earned their medal state side. Their efforts were made even more memorable, as we had 20 supporters join us in America to cheer on their friends and families who were running. The trip raised a staggering £7000 in fundraising. We would like to publicly thank all those that kindly contributed both financially and with words of support. Additionally, we’d like to thank those that joined us on the trip of a lifetime, your support and trust in the Charity means more than we could ever articulate.
