Charity granted National Lottery Community Fund!
As everyone is only too aware, the current COVID-19 pandemic has raised unfamiliar and difficult challenges for all including those in the charity sector. We were subsequently delighted to learn that the Charity had been successfully granted Community Funds by the National Lottery in response to the Coronavirus. This grant is significant for the Charity as it will aid operations as we operate with a skeleton staff whilst, enabling us to maximise resources.
One example of this is the delivery of local door-step exercise sessions for families. Governmental restrictions have limited access to gyms and exercise settings but this grant has enabled us to deliver physical exercise sessions in a safe open environment adhering to current distancing guidelines. Delivering these door-stop exercise sessions intends to not only raise fitness levels following limited exercise in lockdown but also tackle the negative impact COVID-19 has had on families wellbeing.
