Lasagne lesson for young adults!
Everyone here at the charity considers it a privilege to deliver and support the people that we do. Our social events for disabled young adults are a major part of this! After our bouncing success at the trampoline park earlier in the year, our next social was a cookery lesson, making lasagne. The focus was to provide these local young people with life skills through cooking and build confidence. All fifteen participants successfully prepared and cooked a lasagne from scratch with guidance from the Farm Cookery School.
We had a really enjoyable and successful evening in an unfamiliar environment for many of the young adults who attended. All responded well to the new challenge and Josh, who was one of our attendees, commented: "I tried to do some cooking on my own in lockdown, but it didn't go to plan. It's great that I now know how to cook a meal. I will cook this for my Nan and Grandad this weekend now!"
